About Rune Match
Rune Match is a fantasy-themed memory game in the style of the classic card game Concentration (also called Pairs). A grid of face-down tiles hides pairs of ancient runes. You turn tiles over two at a time, and if the runes match they stay revealed. If they don't, they flip back and you have to remember where they were.
Each board is a realm with a time limit shown as an hourglass. Clear every pair before the sand runs out and you move on to the next realm, which has a bigger board and a longer, but tighter, timer. The first realm is a gentle 4×3 grid with 40 seconds; later realms go up to an 8×6 grid of 48 tiles.
Scoring rewards speed and a good memory. Each pair is worth 10 points, and matching several pairs in a row without a miss builds a combo that multiplies the bonus. Any time left on the hourglass when you clear a realm is converted into bonus points, and your high score is saved.
How to play Rune Match
- Press Enter the Sanctum to begin the first realm.
- Tap or click a tile to flip it and reveal its rune, then flip a second tile.
- If the two runes match, they stay face up and you score points.
- If they don't match, both tiles flip back face down.
- Clear every pair before the hourglass empties to move on to the next realm.
- If the time runs out, the run ends. Your high score is kept.

Tips and strategy
- Flip tiles in a consistent order, such as row by row, so that your memory of the board is organised.
- When you reveal a rune you have seen before, go for its partner straight away while you still remember where it is.
- Combos pay more than speed alone. A careful match is worth more than a quick wrong guess that breaks your combo.
- In later realms, focus on remembering only the tiles you have already seen. You don't need to memorise the whole board at once.
- Remaining time becomes bonus points, so finishing the small early realms quickly is an easy way to build a lead.
