About Chroma Lock
Chroma Lock is a gravity-rotation puzzle game. Each level is a small chamber holding coloured sparks and matching coloured cores. You never move a spark directly; instead, you rotate the whole chamber 90 degrees, gravity changes direction, and every loose spark falls until it hits something. The goal is to get every spark to drop into the core that matches its colour.
Because everything moves at once, each rotation is a small chain reaction, and the puzzle is working out the order of turns that lines everything up. Crates stop sparks in place, cores of the wrong colour act as solid walls, and paired portals teleport any spark that enters the purple IN portal out of the orange OUT portal.
The 20 levels start with a single spark and a single drop and build to multi-spark rooms where five pieces have to be squeezed into place. Your best number of rotations for each level is recorded, so once you have solved a level you can come back and try to solve it more efficiently.
How to play Chroma Lock
- Choose a level from Level Select, or press Play to start at level 1.
- Rotate the chamber left or right. Gravity always points down after the turn.
- Every spark falls until it hits a wall, a crate, another object, or its matching core.
- A spark that reaches the core of the same colour is locked in. Get every spark home to clear the level.
- Cores of a different colour block sparks like walls, so you can use them to stop a spark where you need it.
- Use Reset at any time to put the level back to its starting state.

Tips and strategy
- Before rotating, trace where every spark will end up, not just the one you are focused on. Most failed attempts come from a second spark sliding somewhere unexpected.
- Work backwards. Look at a core and ask which direction a spark would have to be falling to land in it, and what it would need to be resting against the turn before.
- Wrong-colour cores are your friends. They are often the only fixed stopping point in the room.
- Portals are one-way: sparks go in at purple and come out at orange. Plan which side of the room you want a spark to end up on before sending it through.
- If you solve a level in a lot of turns, replay it later. Finding the shortest solution is where the real puzzle is.
